Reflection On The Rainbow Soldier

   When the world busy to promote various type of movie and film with various type of genre like futuristic, fiction and superstition, The Rainbow Soldier movie highlight about the moral, the power of knowledges and human-being capital. This world is like a stage and we are an actors. Each actor has their own character that need to play and they must act out their character as much as possible. That is reality of human life. This Rainbow Soldier movie teach the audience the power of knowledge that can generate human-being capital. For example Lintang, the coastal son. He know that only by gain a lot of knowledge, he can change his family life fate. That why he can able to attend the school although meet some difficulties like threat from crocodiles and travels far distances. Knowledges is not about read in the books only. The talent also knowledge. For example Mahar that talented in music and Ikal who talented in poetic. Our life is full with knowledge. Even though our lives are not lucky like others, but by armed with knowledge will make our lives more meaningful and complete.

The Reflection Of Rainbow Troops

Rainbow Warriors tells the story of 10 boys of the school is pretty poor condition. Roof where the roof leaks, the walls will worship the earth and not enough equipment to teach as well as the shortage of teachers. But this situation does not fade their enthusiasm for learning. I was impressed with the spirit of looking forward muslihah attendance of 10 pupils in the school since that time to teach the rules require a minimum of 10 students. Ikal , Lintang, Kucai, Mahar, Haron and many others. Every character they are different but the similarities between them are that they are from poor families who want to learn. In those days, most poor children become labourers or work as labourers. Only child of a wealthy family would go to a good school in terms of learning and teaching material example Flo character. These children value friendship between them. They diligently to learn despite obstacles to school e.g. Lintang, who had to wait crocodile, go into the river he could pass that way to school. Currently, with no excuse for lazy students to class. This situation has happened to me, I should take the diligent spirit to school to study. I was also impressed with the passion of Pak Harfan to defend SMA Muhammadiah. Some of the words I am interested is "hiduplah untuk memberi sebanyak-banyaknya dan bukan untuk menerima sebanyak-banyaknya". Rainbow troops have successfully stolen my heart as one of my favourite movie after V for Vendetta and The Pursuit for Happiness.

             Last Thursday night, August 5th 2013, I have watched Laskar Pelangi movie with all my classmate. It is such a great movie. It's give me many lessons and make me realize that life is such thing that we must build with the knowledge. What I mean is only knowledge can make a difference and with knowledge the dignity can be risen. What I can learn from the lives of the character in the film that I have watched on the Thursday night on August 5 is their lives are so hard. They have to face all the challenge by all the ability that they could have. If I were in their shoes than it might be that I could survive at the first, but I will loose before the end of the road. Lintang is so tough to face all the consequences in his life. He has the sense of responsibility even in the young age. He could help his father going together to the sea to catch a few fish to get to eat.

      

                   The two other moral lessons that I could see in the film is “Don’t take as much as you want but give much as what you can”. That’s mean we can’t just take the thing without giving our effort to take it, but we must give as much as we can give to the other people like do many contribution. Don’t ask too much without giving contribution or without any effort. Another that, don't hear what people say in order to success in this life. Miss Muslimah and Mr. Harfan doesn't hear of what people said about their school which is their school must be closed because there aren't any benefit if the school is open and when they have out of the school, they must be a contract worker with PN Timah which is the stand-up company and do many contribution in Belitong island to the other villagers in Belitong island.

                   After I have watched the film, what I have succeeded so far is I think nothing. There are so many failure that I have which is I still can’t manage my time. I can’t discipline myself to get on punctual. When I see Lintang, he is so punctual to come every class without any late. Even he have a problem when he travel from his house to the school, but he still can manage the time to get early to the school.

                   If I were in the school in the film, then I will work even harder if I want to success in this life. I want to change this life so that I can do something that can give to me as many as credit that I can without asking too much on the people. At the lastly, I want to say to teech because he have give us to see such a great movie and treat us many food on that night. And I want to say thank you to teech because of he always patient with my behaviour and I want to say sorry if I were do any mistake to you. Have a nice life TEECH. . .

Reflection on the Rainbow Soldiers

Last Thursday night, our class have watch laskar pelangi. The movie show a life journey of ten students who come from poor family in Gantong Village, Indonesia and their two dedicated teachers named Muslimah and Harfan who have strive hard to educate, inspire and motivate the students to value education as an important tool that can change their living standards. After I watch this movie, I found out that there are many moral lessons such as never give up and always work hard. Before this, I have never realized that someone would like to sacrifice anything for the sake of knowledge. For example like Lintang, he comes from the poor family and his house also located far away from the school but his spirit to get the knowledge makes him go through the difficulties every morning.

Besides that, I also see the moral value of determination. In early movie, it show that the school will only open if the school manages to get at least ten student. At first only nine students turned up. Miss Muslimah felt pity for the children as, the school is the only hope for the children to achieve their dream. Therefore, she decided to go out to search for the tenth children in the village. Surprisingly a miracle happened when the tenth children suddenly appeared hence the school could operate normally. In conclusion, it makes me realized that we have to work hard get the knowledge because with knowledge we can improve our life. 

Laskar Pelangi

 Firstly, I would like to say thank you to teech for the show on Thursday night. Laskar Pelangi is the movie that give me a lot of lesson. The characters in this movie is really awesome. The most character that I like is Lintang. Even thought he live far from school but his spirit to get the education is high. He is different from us, who are have everything in front but we still ignore the opportunity. Even lastly he not get opportunity to further his studied as Ikal but he still go on with his life. Next is Miss Muslimah, she is really a good teacher and she hold her ambitious to give a education to a poor child.She faced a lot of challenge to make it reality. She is a backbone of the children in SD Muhammadiyyah. After all the story I get my passion to go on with all the challenge in live that I must go trough. Now I feel more confident to voice out my opinion to others even though it might be wrong. Thank you teech for teach us this critical subject. After all this, now I know that we need to think first before we conclude.

The Reflection of Rainbow Soldier

Laskar Pelangi .. second movie after 3 Idiots that give a spirit and inspires me about the world of a peoples  who called the students who had to face the challenge. In the movie Laskar Pelangi, I explore the featured characters such as Lintang, Mahar, Ikal and Miss Mus. This movie shows the story of a poor student who has a big determination for learning in poor schools. But with a strong spirit, they will also learn and always calm and patient even learn in an uncomfortable situation as the school roof when rain leaked and they had to wash again. There, I can see how lucky I am because I was able to learn in a very comfortable place from primary school until now compared to those who did not complain about that. Apart from that, I can see determination  of Miss Mus and Mr.Harfan to give an education to their children even though there is a limit to poor people. But in UiTM, they take and accept more students regardless of family economic factors but also provides a variety of contributions to help students like charity, food allowances and incentives, zakat, etc. This can be seen in this movie where the only child of a rich man only learns in an excellent school. Beside that, in this movie I could see that poor children are willing  and raced to the school to get knowledge, but in my life there are many institutions even though we are not applied but we still get an offer such as IPTS . So I feel very lucky and grateful for this achievement. For me we can learn everywhere, but the key is our heart. If we have the intention to learn, the hard will be easy and knowledge is broad. Where there is a will, there is a way.

LASKAR PELANGI

On Thursday morning, teech said to us that we must come earlier that night to watch a movie. So then even its raining, I still go to class. And teech buy us food. And he sponsored all that. Thank you, teech  saranghae.

Then we watch movie ‘LASKAR PELANGI’. This movie has so many lessons. Like Lintang in this movie, he is a poor kid but, he still want to study and gain knowledge. Even their school is very poor, but Cikgu Muslimah, Cikgu Harfan, Ikal, Lintang, Mahar, Sahara, Kucai and everyone in SD Muhammadiyyah still go to school and never complain. I realize that, I always complaining about my life. If I was Lintang, I just quit the school and stay at home.

This movie also I learned that in this life we need to give more and demand , less. We also must be patient in study. We must diligent so that we can success in our life. This movie teach me about life, not only this movie but teech also teach me and my classmates many things about life. Thank you teech, I will never forget what you teach us and thank you I think my English better than before and in BEL 313 class my confidence grew.
