 Title: 6 Formula Kerjaya Impian

As for me, the article is a beneficial article because it gives new information to students and graduates to know how to get their dream jobs once they are graduates from the universities. Even though they passed their examination with good score, but they did not realize what world had prepare for them in future. Most of what the author wrote was based on a researched that have been done and facts are been stated in the article.

However, there are some fallacies that the author includes into the article.  “Segelintir graduan gagal dalam aspek kemahiran insan mereka. Mereka ini lazimnya tidak yakin berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggeris dan bahasa antarabangsa lain. Akibatnya mereka langsung tidak dapat meyakinkan penemuduga ketika temu duga”. Base on the statement, this is clearly a slippery slope fallacy because when the candidate lose the confidence to speak in English and other international language, it will cause the interviewer’s lose their confidence towards them.  Besides that, there is also appeal to ignorance fallacy. “Graduan mestilah memperoleh Nilai Purata Gred Keseluruhan- PNGK(CGPA) tidak kurang daripada 3.00 dan 3.50 ke atas untuk memohon pekerjaan di firma antarabangsa.  PNGK yang rendah akan menjadikan diploma atau ijazah graduan kurang bernilai di pasaran”. There is no conclusive evidence was stated here and the researcher’s did not state any percentage or any other evidence to support his point.

Overall, I can say that this article can help graduates to prepare themselves on how to get their dream jobs and the alternatives of it.

6 Formula Kerjaya Impian

Conclusion of this news is the author actually trying to convinces the readers to follow the formulae provided as a ways to reduces the rate of unemployment among graduates. However, can he guarantee to thoose  whos follow that formulae will get  the job and reduce the rate of  unemployment? The answer is not. Easier said than done.

In this news, the author state that the graduate who want to get jobs can follows this formulae and start the preparation .The graduate must good in soft skill ,human skill and also communicablity. The graduates also must involve in any high-level activities such as international level activities. The graduates also encourage to involves in any society activities despite of achieving CGPA 3.5 and above. For additional value, for graduates who have any additional qualification, knowledge and training experience in any industry will be in advantages.  However, statistic from Ministry of Higher Education state that in year 2013, over 43.3% of the graduates who graduated with flying colours result in hand and also fulfill all the requirement that state above, are still unemployed.

The question is, they are fulfill all the requirement but still unemployed? Why? This is shows that actually is not the graduates fault whos lacking of skills and qualifications just like the author claim but the government who fail to open and provide the new job opportunities. Furthermore, the government decide to increase the ages of pension for government sector staffs, make the opportunity of graduates to enter the government sector become thin and strict. So, to reduce the rate of unemployment, please open new wide jobs opportunity by restructure age of pension policies.
