In my opinion, this article is a fun one to read to those who wish to be a cool person whether the teenagers or an adult. The seven points that were given by the author sometimes there were right or not. So, it cannot be swallowed wholly by all the people who wish to be a cool person.

After I read this article, I found so many fallacies that were used by the author which is appeal to inappropriate authority. That is “Because I am an adult and I know better. Well, actually, it is because I am ‘The Guru of Cool’”. I think that this statement is not strong evidence that we should refer to him just because he is ‘The Guru of Cool’ in order to become a cool person maybe. Another that, I has found the type of fallacies that was used by the author which is appeal to tradition. The statement is “In Western countries, people spit on any Skinhead they see”. I think, why should we spit on their head just because their’s head is bald. I think that is a rude action and if I were in their shoes then, I will smash every person who spit on my head just because I am bald. Another that, I attracted to the sentences that were claimed by the author which is ”Research has proven that Asians are actually less tolerant of alcohol compared to Westerners”. I admit that many Asians people drink that sort of things. But I see there is more Westerner than Asians drink that sort of beverage. He just put that statement without any strong evidence to make the people believe that fact just to accept with wholly. So, this statement I’m not fully accept.

As to my conclusion, there is some the right fact and there is also some wrong fact. So, if we want to become a cool person, just be yourself. Do not follow any other’s people habit. That is the true ways to become a cool person.

When I read this article, I think that this article is suitable to all the university students who will be graduate when the time is come and to those who have graduate already at out there. However there is some of the contra information that were not relevant enough or not true enough.

In this statement “Memang sudah lumrah hanya sebilangan kecil graduan sahaja yang akan dapat mencapai kerjaya impian mereka...”, there is clearly showed that the existence of appeal to tradition. We cannot just make a hasty conclusion that just a small number of fresh graduates will get their dream job. This statement will make their spirit is going down in finding the job and does not have any curiosity to enter in any job field. Another that, there is the use of fallacy which is slippery slope. It is clear through the statement of what En. Airil claimed that “Segelintir graduan gagal dalam aspek Kemahiran Insan mereka. Meraka ini lazimnya tidak yakin berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggeris dan bahasa antarabangsa lain. Akibatnya, mereka langsung tidak dapat meyakinkan penemuduga ketika menghadiri temu duga.”

As to my conclusion, there are some of the statement that were claimed by En. Airil that I can accept. I will use this as my guide in order to find a good one job when I am graduate. However, I will not make this article as wholly as my guidance in finding my interesting job in the future.

The article is really interesting to be read because it gives us good information for our future. The evidence and research provided  in the article is also strong enough,so basically I think this article can attract and influence people to read it. Besides , the article is full of information about how the university students can find the job more easily. Nowadays, it is really hard for people to gain job opportunity to, even though they score high points in their course’s result. As a student  I am curious about this, I  think of what I am going to do after graduation if I do not get any work opportunity. However, as we know, behind the positive, things are also  negative things. It is called fallacies. The first fallacy that I found is slippery slope. It is when the author said, “Segelintir graduan gagal dalam aspek Kemahiran Insan mereka. Mereka ini lazimnya tidak yakin berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggeris dan bahasa antarabangsa lain. Akibatnya, mereka langsung tidak dapat meyakinkan penemuduga ketika menghadiri temu duga” . It is clearly said that when  people do not know how to speak  in  English, they will not get any job. The other one is appeal to tradition. In the article it is stated that “Memang sudah lumrah hanya sebilangan kecil graduan saja yang akan dapat mencapai kerjaya impian mereka”. However, in reality, it is due to lack of vacancies. As a conclusion, this article is really helpful for the students to prepare themselves for their future.

From the title of this article, I think this article is good to be read. It is  because it gives us an ideas to become a cool person in this new era. The author also tried to give advice about how to become a cool person just because he is an adult and ‘The Guru of Cool’. This is an example of inappropriate authority that have been found in this article. It is because the author used his own authorities to support the article. For my opinion the author is just a show-off and is very confident with his own opinion. Another fallacy that can be found in this article is slippery slope. It can be found in that article that smoking is bad for health. “it makes your teeth go yellow and give a pungent stench to your sweat”. This sentence really show the bad effect of smoking. There is also lack of evidences about what he had stated. For example in point 7, he states that clubbing is okay for some. In paragraph the author just gives an opinion without any evidence. As a conclusion, even though the article is good to read but it has few fallacies and also it contradicts our religion. As we know our religion tells us to not do anything are against our syariah as a muslim. We cannot simply do anything to become a cool person without care about our religion. Just be careful while read because it may effect our life.

To me, this article very interesting and very nice to read, but to me, the writer does not have enough substance when he wrote this article. Because, the author considered himself “The Guru of Cool”, so he assume that all teenagers will follows what he wrote in the 7 Steps of Highly, the teenagers will became ultra-cool and super suave i-teenagers. Based on this article, there is fallacies appeal to ignorance. Because the author have no conclusive evidence and he wants the teenagers follows his conclusion on the article.
First fallacies that I think the author include in the article is slippery slope. The author wrote that “…but smoking is really bad for health”, “It makes your teeth go yellow and gives a pungent stench to your sweat”. These all are the effect from smoking.  Other than that, the author used hasty generalization because he said that “Professional racers have been trained since young on racing circuit and cute-go-karts. After years of experience, they graduate to 500cc bikes or F1 cars.” Not all the professional racers have been trained since young. Besides that, the author also said that “I know, I know, some of you are allowed to drink alcohol when you come of age” this is an appeal to tradition because in my religion we are not allowed to drink alcohol.
Overall, I think this article is very interesting and gave teenagers the knowledge to be a cool teenager but, this article is not suitable for the teenagers nowadays.

The article is about “Tip Mencari Kerja” that the writer shared, to the fresh graduates on how they can achieve their dream job. Even that this article is good, but still had several fallacies in this article. The writer writes that “Segelintir graduan gagal dalam aspek Kemahiran Insan mereka. Mereka ini lazimnya tidak yakin berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggeris dan bahasa antarabangsa lain.”, it shows that appeal to ignorance fallacies because there are also have some graduate that can speaks in English who failed the interview.
Besides that, other fallacies are slippery slope. This can be seen when the author writes about a ‘Formula Kerjaya Impian’ (FKI), author stated several ways to get their dream job, graduates should active in activities in their campus, country with their participation certification, they also encouraged to participate in community or volunteer activities with written evidence, also must get CGPA not less than 3.00 and more than 3.50 and also they must have industrial training experiences.  Sentence that “Memang sudah menjadi lumrah hanya sebilangan kecil saja graduan yang akan mencapai kerja impian mereka” shows us that it has appeal to tradition fallacies.
Other than that, there also have begging the question fallacies when writers said that “Graduan yang membuat pelaburan tambahan dengan belajar sewaktu cuti semester contohnya, mudah mendapat pekerjaan dengan sijil tambahan yang mereka miliki.”, the writers said that graduates will be easier to get job if they have extra certificate, he wants the readers to accept his conclusion without providing the real evidence.
